Nigel Rochford

Originally from Dublin, Nigel moved to Scotland after graduating in 2003 and spent the next decade or so gaining experience in programming, software engineering, and agile project management.
Following a hugely educational but ultimately unsuccessful first-time startup in mobile app development, Nigel moved on to found New Verve Consulting in 2011. With an initial focus on providing agile project management services to other businesses, Nigel decided to pivot in 2015 and New Verve began to specialise entirely in delivering software solutions using the Atlassian platform.
Since then, New Verve has gone on to become one of the top Platinum Atlassian Solution partners in the UK with a team of 14 hugely talented individuals generating revenue of over £3 million in 2023.
New Verve went on to become acquired by knowmad mood in 2022. This represented a hugely significant and exciting milestone in New Verve’s journey as a business and is a true testament to the team that has evolved over the years. Nigel is incredibly proud and excited to lead New Verve into its next phase of growth.
“Since graduating, I have always had the desire to establish my own business. After gaining a wealth of experience in digital publishing and software development, I left a senior technical management role with HarperCollins Publishers and finally established New Verve Consulting in 2011.
